Romelu Lukaku and Ander Herrera’s goals salvaged a 2-2 draw for Manchester United at Southampton as the Red Devils were forced to come from behind.Marcus Rashford set up both goals after Saints took advantage of United’s makeshift defence to race into a two-goal lead.5

Little he could do for either goal and made a great save from Nathan Redmond in the second-half.

Scott McTominay – 6

A surprise inclusion in a Man United back three, but he gave a good account of himself despite playing out of position. Excellent last-ditch tackle on Michael Obafemi.5

United didn’t cover themselves in glory as a defensive unit and Jones has to take some of the blame, however he was not the most culpable.

Nemanja Matic – 4

Awful attempt at a tackle in the build up to the first Southampton goal and looked vulnerable throughout.

Ashley Young – 5

Produced a horrible cross with United on the break and struggled with his end product all evening.

Marouane Fellaini – 5

Another woeful attempted tackle before Armstrong’s goal and missed a free header at 2-2.5

Ander Herrera – 7

Rewarded for his desire to get forward from midfield and supplied a tidy finish for the goal.

Luke Shaw – 6

Appeared to get clattered every two minutes as he charged forward – a victim of some poor United passing and was forced off through injury.

Paul Pogba – 4

Slowed the game down to walking pace and conceded possession far too often. Not his day.

Marcus Rashford – 8

Recovered from a terrible start to single-handedly drag United back into the game. Superb strength for the first goal and frightening pace for the second.5
